Synopsis:
This film revolves around some characters residing at a by lane at Calcutta, named 'Kinu gowalar gali'. Debobrata, a rich old businessman moonis at this by lane after losing his property in share market. Its daughter neela is a college students neela meets with shanti, a married young lady, residing at the same house with neela. Shanti limes with her husband, manimay, a writer. There neela also meets with a young poet, named indrajeet, a pired of manimoy. Neela tries to cope with the present situation but newly arrived insultation maoreing her problems begger, an uncle at her sister-in low. Starts to coming in their new address and making her life miserable by giving indicent proposals. Old friends are also insulting him. She starts to share hero experience with indrajeet, love affection between they starts to grow up manimoy, the writer husband of shanti is the main cause of shanti's unhappiness. He is busy with his writing and the world of fantany, doesn't care about his wife. He doesn't each much, so shanti takes money from indrajeet and buys meal from shop, her husband likes so. We also fores her wife to paly gambling with his friends shanti, being tired, start's a new game against her husband. She starts to flat with indrajeet. Going to film together, to make her husband jelous one day manimay offers her to go to the dress for their new thetre productions. Shanti goes there and sees her own experience and own character in stage as kalpana the heroine character made by mahimoy. Being shocked she plans more. A film company wants to make film by this story, and they introduce a new heroine mahimoy sees his wife there, and gets the same shcoke which he gone to his wife. He beggs perform to her, they decide to more from the present address. They take forewell from indrajeet and neela. In their empty room indrajeet comes closer to neela.
