Synopsis:

Hrishikesh Roy, a zamindar by burth, has a peculiar obsession . He is obsessed with experimental coding season flowers, his family tradition and of course, with his own ego. He loves to see himself as an angry man and the ideal grandson of his grandfather. His grandfather broke his grandmother's teeth by a solid slap on the first night of their marriage. Hrishikesh has two sons, is very cool headed like their mother. Hrishikesh expects one day he will have a grandson just like him. His family physican suggests him to bring a beautiful bride for his elder son, Hemanta only she will be able to bring down his blood pressure as well as his anger by her loving nature. Hrishikesh agrees gladly, and starts to look for a a suitable bride for Hemanta. Hemanta, a singer by profession, loves an orphan village girl, Pratima. Hemanta marries her. Hrishikesh, gets furious, and stops them from entering his house. Hemanta's friends help them to find out a rented house. They settle down there. Their landlord, Attorney Abinash Banerjee and his wife start to love them. Their only daughter, Geeta is a tom boy. She plays cricket with boys one day the younger son of Hrishikesh, Shishir comes to see Hemanta and Pratima. He meets with Pratima and takes her photo and shows it to his mother. His mother cries for them, wants to see them, but cant go for the fear of her husband. Shishir and Geeta fall in love. Pratima is expecting her baby her land lady, Geeta's mother sends an invitiation letter to Hemant's mother for the ritual of pregnancy. Hemanta's mother secretly comes within younger son and joins with the ritual. Hrishikesh comes to know about it and he follows them. He comes to their house meets with tomboy Geeta and accepts her as his younger daughter-in-law he also accepts Pratima very gladly and brings her to his haveli.
